Due to COVID-19, the 2020 high school football season will not begin any earlier than the final week of September.
Regina High Schools Athletic Association commissioner Aaron Anderson, who also presides over the Regina Intercollegiate Football League, announced the delay in a media release issued Thursday.
Originally, the Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association had allowed practices to begin Aug. 20, but that date has been changed to Sept. 14.
Regular-season play will not begin any earlier than Sept. 28.
