A man suspected of an Aug. 9 assault that left a man with serious injuries was arrested Saturday, according to Woodstock police.
Police said Thursday Hamza Khalid, 25, was being sought in an assault with a weapon that injured a 22-year-old man.
Police initially said they believed Khalid was still in the area, but noted the suspect also had ties to Toronto and Scarborough.
Khalid is now charged with aggravated assault, failure to comply with a probation order, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a probation order.
He’s been held in custody and will appear in court at a later date.
