Oxford County OPP officers are investigating after an armed robbery in Blandford-Blenheim over the weekend.

Police responded at around 11 p.m. Friday night to a truck stop on Oxford Road 29 in Blandford-Blenheim.

Police said an unidentified man entered the store and walked behind the front counter area. The staff member noticed the activity and approached the man, who then showed a weapon and threatened the clerk.

The man accessed the cash register, removed some money and left the area in a dark-coloured SUV. The staff member was not injured.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 30 to 40 years old, with short dark hair and a full dark beard. He is described as having tattoos on his arms, wearing dark shoes, dark pants, a dark shirt and a dark zip-up hoodie.

Police have reviewed surveillance images and are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
